Configuring Revolution Office Theme(配置Revolution2主题)

Revolution themes for wordpress are well known and professional but
they are not free. Not long ago revolution group  started to support
free edition for downloading, however, it doesn’t  provide any
technology support and document for free users. Consequently many users
do not understand how to use and configure it include me. I like Office
theme very much, but I cant see any perfect visual result as offical
demo after install it. After search some information on google, I find
a way to configure it and write it down for you.  (中文版见文尾)

Step1. Downloading theme and install it as common
wordpress theme. At revolutiontwo.com website, you can find the office
theme page, because its pro package need fees, downloading url of free
edition is put on a unattractive place following a description : * With the purchase of the Pro/Pro Plus packages, you receive benefits for ALL themes. Download unsupported version.

Step2. Configuring the
home page style.  You can find “Revolution Office Theme Options” in
Theme Option of wordpress and click into it you can see a interface as
picture below.

This theme has three parts: first is the Featured Content
Carousel. It can repeat post thumnails in one category, so you need
input the category ID which you want show at the top of home page. The
second is Column Text which show 3 posts in three columns at the middle of home page and you should tell theme three post IDs. The last is Featured Box
which at the home page bottom. Left of it can show one post in the
category you specified with big thumbnail image and the right list
lastest six post thumbnails in the same category.

Step3. Setting thumbnail url. You must specify the
thumbnail image for each post if you want to show them in good view. At
the post write or edit page, you should add “Custom Fields” as its key is “thumbnail” and value is the url
of the thumbnail image.  For example, if my one post’s thumbnail image
url is “blog.classky.com/wp-content/uploads/1.jpg”, and then your key
and value in Custom Fields are “thumbnail” and
“http://blog.classky.com/wp-content/uploads/1.jpg” respectively.

Now you can appreciate a professional look of your blog.

第1步，和其它WP主题一样安装，安装完毕会多出一个Revolution Office Theme Options这样的选项，点击进去。

第2步，该选项有3个部分，分别指定主页上的三块内容。第一部分就是以旋转木马的方式轮流显示一些日志缩略图，这些日志应该是属于同一个分类的，所
以在这里要指定一个分类号。第二部分是主面中间的三栏内容，用于显示文字，指定3个你想显示的文章ID就可以了。第三部分的左边显示某分类中最新发表的文
章，右边显示最新发表的6篇文章的缩略图，这些也都应该是同一分类的，所以需要你指定一个分类号。

如何查看分类号？简单的说，不管在哪个页，如果有分类显示的话，用鼠标移到分类链接上，在IE的状态栏会显示”…/?cat=XX”，这个XX就是你鼠标所指向的分类号了，日志号的查看方式一样。

第3步，给文章加上缩略图。这里有瓣缩略图不是你文章里的图片，需要另外准备。在发表或编辑文章时，有一个”Custom Fields”/”自定义字段”的地方，在里面加一个KEY(关键字)为thumbnail，value(值)为缩略图的URL地址。

后记，关于关键字thumbnail是在模板文件中找出来的，Revolution的主题并不全是用的这个关键字，像Church用的好像就是
image，所以具体问题要具体分析。你可以在像Category.php这样的文件中找到显示缩略图的代码，看看它定义的$key变量值是什么。如果有
